Original Joe's Restaurant
When the popular landmark, Original Joes Restaurant in San Jose, was in need
of a new roof, Saratoga Capital called on Platinum Roofing to do the job --
a delicate operation due to the fact that rooftop mechanical equipment could
not be disturbed, and the restaurant is completely landlocked.
Platinum's solution was to use a Metacrylic 82 mil acrylic roofing system,
using hoses to pump the material from the street to the roof. Windows from
adjacent buildings look directly onto the roof surface from above, so the
roof was tinted and a sealer added that enables it to self-wash.
Original Joe's new roof carries a 15-year material and labor no-dollar limit
manufacturer warranty, looks great, and is now Title 24 compliant. With a
top coating every 15 years this roof will last indefinitely.
