Patrick Henry Drive - Santa Clara
We braved some powerful winter storms while removing existing rooftop equipment, including all the HVAC units, and sightscreen on this building under contract with CP Construction located on Patrick Henry Drive in Santa Clara. After tearing off the entire roofing and the associated roof penetrations (such as pipes and vents), we performed minor dry-rot repair and re-nailed the roof as per city code for seismic upgrade. In addition, we relocated the roof access hatch and ladder. Twenty-five new 8' x 8' skylights were added, plus 250 new sightscreen sleeper boxes, as well as all new Dutch gutters and sheet metal counter flashings at all the mansards. We installed a new Title 24 compliant, 4-ply, built-up roof system as per manufacturer recommended specifications. Thanks to great communication between CP Construction and Platinum Roofing, we were able to bring this project in on time and on budget despite the weather.
